Our Focus

Helping our younger generation understand the dangers (short and long term) of drugs/alcohol abuse and the consequences of addiction.

Helping to create a community free of violence, crime and addiction

We're in a battle, we're in a fight; there are more drug dealers, more gangs and more drugs than we can handle.

Our Mission

Our mission is to send a powerful message that helps school-aged children to make healthier decisions, that in return, will help them to become active and responsible members of our communities.
  • Doing our part to help build a drug-free community.
  •  Helping our younger generation make better informed positive decisions.
  •  Dedicated to helping the communities of young adults to better understand the dangers of using drugs or alcohol as well as the truth about participating in activities that may lead to addiction, incarceration or even death.

By educating our communities we can give children the opportunity to choose living a drug‑free life.

David Sanchez

Founder & Director
Strikeout Against Drugs

David Sanchez is the founder and director of Los Angeles-based organization STRIKE OUT AGAINST DRUGS.

Born in Redondo Beach, California, David Sanchez began learning about drugs at age 9 when a neighbor offered him marijuana. By age 15, he was using harder drugs that first led to juvenile jail and eventually to multiple penitentiaries. The turning points came in 2012 when he finally conquered his addiction, and then in 2014 when he began building on his own knowledge and studies of addiction, and on ideas to develop and keep communities healthier, safer, and free of drugs.
In 2014, David co-founded Beacon of Hope, the largest single address adult sober living home in Los Angeles.

Beacon of Hope is a (Hope For The Hurting) faith-based, professionally managed sober/transitional residence for men. The organization offers a structured, safe and nurturing environment for men whom are recovering from drug & alcohol abuse.

Drug or alcohol addiction is not a requirement for residency, however abstinence from drug & alcohol use is required in order that the programs there may include a safe environment for those that are in the process of recovery.
Remembering how his nightmare began with that first hit, David founded STRIKE OUT AGAINST DRUGS to educate our community's using the Foundation for a Drug-Free World materials.

Through seminars , presentations and Truth About Drugs curriculum, we are educating our younger generation and their families so that they understand the dangers and consequences of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction in today's society

Since 2014, STRIKE OUT AGAINST DRUGS has reached over 1.5 million people with a healthy life and drug-free message that has impacted the lives of countless kids.
